The USS Batfish submarine in Muskogee is getting a new home but plans on how exactly to move the vessel are just now advancing after the Muskogee War Memorial Trust just approved a plan.

The plan to move the USS Batfish to Three Forks Harbor is largely driven by visibility and tourism. The rendering, released by the City of Muskogee, shows the submarine on display at the harbor, along with museums, an overlook deck, and a walking path.

The Muskogee War Memorial Park says its lease expires this month, and the museum, including the 2-thousand-ton World War II submarine, has to find a new home. The Park says it doesn't know how or when the move is going to take place, but moving the Batfish is going to take a lot of coordination.
